In 1999, striving to protect the Environment, we started to implant an Environmental Management System. Our work was rewarded that very year with the "Andalusia Environment Prize, Environmental Protection". In the year 2001 we reaffirmed our commitment, certifying our management system in accordance the standard UNE-EN-ISO 14001:1996. Since then we have achieved very significant goals within the framework of on-going improvement, and in 2004 this led to certification renewal and adaptation to the new standard UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2004.
Our Environmental Management System encompasses all the environmental aspects involved in our company, placing particular emphasis on those that are considered as the most significant. Thus, we ensure pollution prevention by anticipating the potential impacts that could derive from our activities, therefore minimising the probability of their occurrence.
In 2008 we increased our association with the Environment by adapting our Environmental Management System and verifying it in accordance with Regulation EC 761/2001 (EMAS), which permits organisations to voluntarily participate in a Community eco-management and audit scheme.
Our Environmental Declaration presents the evolution and results derived from the environmental management undertaken at Isofoton.
