ISOFOTON PARTICIPATES IN THE LARGEST PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER PLANT IN MEXICO
- The facility is located in a "PHOENIX" motor plant of the American car manufacturer Chrysler.

Isofotón, a European reference in the Photovoltaic sector, has participated in the installation of a new photovoltaic power generation plant with an intelligent energy management system that will supply the car factory of Chrysler in Valle de Derramadero (Mexico). It delivered high quality modules that cover the needs of power and efficiency the client requires.
The facility has a power capacity of 411.84 Kwp, which makes it the largest photovoltaic power plant in Mexico. It consists of 1875 modules manufactured in the Research and Production Centre of Isofotón in Spain; their structures have the shape of the Chrysler logo.
The modules used in this project can handle the impact of hailstones of up to 45 mm, which is more than the established requirement for a standard application according to the Standard IEC 61215, which in item 10.17 establishes a resistance to hailstones of up to 25 mm.
Furthermore, the factory has been equipped with a set of batteries that will store the electric energy that cannot be injected into the plant during the day. At night, it will supply 150 state-of-the-art led luminaries that will illuminate the exterior zones of the Chrysler factory. They are revolutionary in terms of energy efficiency.
It is a joint project between Isofotón and Injuber Soluciones de Ingeniería, a company that is part of the INJUBER-INVERSALTER Group, a pioneer in renewable energy and very well-known in the industry. Isofotón supplied the high quality modules to achieve a profitable and sustainable installation. Injuber, as the main contractor of the project and in charge of the execution, designed the overall structures, the electric system, the channels, the tubes, the monitoring, the control and the intelligent energy management system (with SIEMANS technology) that respect the environment and the surrounding of the site. |
