Corporate responsability

At ISOFOTON, we see Corporate Responsibility (CR) as an ethical commitment to society and to the environment in which the company operates. As well as being economically viable, our activities contribute to socially and environmentally sustainable development.

Thanks to the nature of its business, ISOFOTON has developed a strong corporate sensitivity in over 30 years of operation, which has become part of its philosophy, principles, and identity.

This commitment is focused on generating competitive advantages. In other words, our corporate strategy is based on an alignment between CR criteria and the various links that make up the value chain. This strategy seeks both to improve and broaden our connection with the expectations of each interest group, making the company more socially, environmentally and economically sustainable

Environmental dimension

At ISOFOTON we are actively committed to sustainable development. This commitment is reflected in our goal of manufacturing products with a high social value, contributing to environmental conservation globally. Our products also help the lives of people in disadvantaged regions where solar energy offers the only means of accessing drinkable water and electricity.

In 1999 we began implementing an environmental management system, which won us the "Andalusian Environmental Protection Award” in the same year. In 2001 we certified the management system according to UNE-EN-ISO 14001 standards.

To make the photovoltaic industry truly sustainable and green, we participated in the founding of the PV-Cycle association in 2007. The aim was to ensure the collection and recycling of photovoltaic modules at the end of their working life.

In 2008 we reaffirmed our commitment to the environment by adapting our environmental management system to the European Union’s EMAS Regulations.

The following documents are good examples of our efforts to continually improve our environmental performance.

In 2011 we verified the system and validated the environmental statement under the new 1221/2009 (EMAS) regulations approved in December 2009.
