Solar Energy for buildings

What is Building Integration?

BUILDING INTEGRATION PHOTOVOLTAICS SOLAR POWER IN BUILDINGS CURRENT SITUATION

Photovoltaic technology has grown rapidly in recent years, and has developed a range of innovative products in the field of design and architecture. The modules are used as construction materials in cladding, roofing, and façades of high-aesthetic value. In light of the fact that this is the Renewable-Energy system best adapted to electricity generation in urban areas without producing an adverse environmental impact, this technology represents a substantial contribution to achieving the goals of urban sustainability.

Building Integration consists of combining the dual role of the photovoltaic modules as a construction element and as an electricity generator.

This will be one of the main activities of architects, construction firms, engineers, and designers in general. The sectors in the building construction process are currently focusing on this area.
